Vision
MUSIC_ CONNECTS_ addresses the inequality of opportunity for BIPOC LGBTQ electronic music artists with focused programs that provide for a more inclusive worldwide electronic music community.
As creatives and industry professionals, we know that accessibility, opportunity, and mentorship are key factors for a successful career in the arts. As community members, we know that the best way to see the future tomorrow is to contribute to authoring it today.
Being the change that we collectively wish to see, we envision an equitable future for electronic music artists, that is representative of its diversely passionate creators and enthusiastic audiences. The institutionalized systems of racism, prejudice, and homophobia, society has inherited, continue to disproportionately marginalize and oppress the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities worldwide.
In support of these communities, which we serve, we exist as a force and resource for dismantling these legacy systems through global advocacy and local activism. The foundation is a strong advocate in pursuit of the dismantling of these systemic institutions of oppression and cultural exclusion.
By providing support for these marginalized artists via direct accessibility, inclusive opportunities, and developmental mentorship programs for ensuring the success of BIPOC and LGBTQ music artists, the foundation will always advocate globally, whilst engaging locally.
